THE EMPTY SEAT
Anonymous · 2026
ABOUT THE PIECE
An empty chair. A jacket still hanging from it. A mask beside an ageing CRT. Nothing about the room suggests a movement—until the wall fills with one.
The Empty Seat examines Anonymous through the contradiction at the centre of its visual identity: a face seen everywhere, attached to no single person. The workstation is quiet graphite, built from ordinary objects and traces of use. Beyond it, a masked crowd emerges in red pencil—unresolved, multiplying, impossible to pin to a single identity.
The piece is less interested in the mythology of the lone hacker than in the space between individual anonymity and collective visibility.
