MODERN SPOKEN ENGLISH
الإنكليزية المحكية الحديثة
Spoken English, with Arabic alongside.
Twain adapted Hanna Habib Farha’s beginner English course for Arabic-speaking learners as a bilingual iPhone app.
A book made for speaking.
My father’s Modern Spoken English builds everyday vocabulary through short conversations, stories and exercises. The documented second edition was published in Beirut in 1998. The app brings those lessons together with the original recordings.
Two languages on the same screen.
The lesson moves from listening and reading to speaking practice. Arabic guidance sits alongside the English material, and the audio controls let learners pause or replay the original recording as they work through it.
Twenty lessons for beginners.
The iPhone app includes bilingual text, original lesson audio, vocabulary, notes and speaking exercises. The first five lessons are free. A one-time purchase unlocks lessons 6–20. Available lessons and recordings can be used offline.
Course and mobile edition.
Based on the original course, writings, and recordings of Hanna H. Farha. Reimagined as a contemporary learning experience for a new generation.
